W3C accessibility

This site has been built using the CM3 Content Management System and designed to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA compliance.

This means our site has been designed and developed to be accessible by all users, including those using assistive technologies. Details of technologies available and tips for customising your computer set up to manage access issues can be found on the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) site.

Portable Document Files (PDFs)

Adobe Acrobat PDFs have been used to present lengthy documents and formatting that can't always be presented in HTML or text. If you have problems downloading these documents, print versions or alternative formats can be made available on request (call 03 9514 6100 or email webmanager@cancervic.org.au).

By downloading (it's FREE) the latest version of Adobe Acrobat reader you'll find a number of features that support accessibility, including the ability to:

  • Read PDF files aloud using standard operating system text-to-speech functionality
  • Have greater control when using screen readers
  • Evaluate the accessibility of an Adobe PDF file.

For more about Adobe's PDF accessibility, and to download the latest version of the PDF reader, visit the Adobe website.
